Our leather potholders offer a secure grip on hot ceramic dishes or pots. The thick leather layer prevents you from feeling any contact heat, and the wax coating makes water a no-brainer. Never burn yourself on a wet potholder again!

We're committed to local production and source all the materials in our products from Europe. From thread to rivets, everything comes from the local area.

The leather is natural and uncoated. Therefore, natural characteristics are visible on the surface, and the coloring is not 100% uniform. The surface has been treated with wax to make the leather water-repellent. This natural surface treatment not only makes the potholders easy to care for and durable, but also showcases the unique characteristics of the leather hide.

The potholders are heat-resistant and water-repellent. You can use them for working on the stove, grill, or oven. They adhere excellently to ceramic and glassware and provide a secure grip when lifting large dishes.

If they come into contact with food, you can simply wash the potholders.

material

We make our potholders from untreated Italian nappa leather. This material differs from conventional leather in its plastic-free finish. Contrary to current practice, our leather is only oiled and waxed, allowing it to age naturally, develop a patina, and last a truly long time. No plastic!

The natural surface treatment leaves natural features such as scars, insect bites or structural differences visible.
In our products, we want these natural characteristics to come to the fore and give the leather a character, in contrast to mass-produced plastic.

Cleaning & Care

The potholders are easy to wipe clean with a wet cloth. For stubborn stains like dried-on sauce or batter, the stained area must first be moistened to soften it, as repeated rubbing with wet, rough cloths can cause the wax coating to wear off slightly. They are not machine washable. Grease and oil splashes will soak into the leather without leaving stains.

Any scratches or abraded areas can be treated with leather care.

Resistant

It's not without reason that leather is synonymous with robust products. Our leather is tanned, waxed, and oiled according to our own recipe to create a water-repellent surface that can be easily wiped clean with a damp cloth.

Due to the lack of the usual plastic layer, fats and oils can penetrate the leather and any stains disappear over time .

Naturally

Our material differs from conventional leather in its plastic-free surface. Contrary to current practice, our leather is only oiled and waxed , which makes it truly durable: no plastic that can peel off irreparably, just pure nature .

We intentionally manufacture our goods with a few non-harmful features (closed scars, etc.) to emphasize our closeness to nature and reduce waste.

Durable

Synthetic-free leather doesn't deteriorate. Like an old leather chair, with proper care, it will serve you well for a lifetime , developing a patina and aging naturally .

Minor scratches can be easily removed with leather care , making the product look like new again.

We sew each piece by hand and treat our material with the precision and quality it deserves.

Austrian handcraft

All our products are handcrafted in our small workshop in Upper Austria. We sit at the sewing machine ourselves and cut the shapes ourselves—thus ensuring truly high quality in every piece.
